Orchard / Vegetables-Microgat

Orchard / Vegetables Microgat is a member of the Micromix-Gat line of products. A source of concentrated, plant- available EDTA-chelated micro- elements, except for iron (Fe). This mix has an enhanced concentration of manganese (Mn) and zinc (Zn) as compared with Micro-Gat
Whenever a crop, such as stone- fruits, require an enhanced manganese (Mn) and zinc (Zn) nutrition, Orchard / Vegetables Microgat is the indicated product. Orchard / Vegetables Microgat allows for maximum flexibility in the provision of the crop with iron (Fe) by applying Ferrogat or Ferrogat Plus, as required. Combining these products reduces the total cost of nutrients since it allows for the application of the optimum dosage of iron (Fe) in combination with the remaining micro-nutrients present in Orchard / Vegetables Microgat.

Under very intensive growing conditions, manganese and zinc are required in quantities larger than usual. Iron (Fe) is consumed by the crop in greater amounts than all other micro- nutrients. Therefore, iron fertilization must meet specific crop needs and take the soil’s characteristics into consideration. Manganese and zinc EDTA- chelates remain stable even at high pH levels (>11) while EDTA-iron chelates are unstable at pH > 7. Orchard / Vegetables Microgat may be applied to soils with a high pH without any complications, but under these conditions iron (Fe) must be applied as more stable iron-chelates: Ferrogat or Ferrogat-Plus. The correct combination of Orchard / Vegetables Microgat with Ferrogat or Ferrogat-Plus provides many advantages to the crop and reduces costs.

Orchard and Vegetables Microgat – Application
The type of crop, the substrate and application technique dictate the dosage of Orchard / Vegetables Microgat. For crops growing on sand or artificial / detached media, it is recommended to fertigate with Orchard / Vegetables Microgat at a constant rate of 30 to 120 cm³/m³ irrigation water. The incorporation of Orchard / Vegetables Microgat at a concentration of 2 to 6 % to Gat fertilizer solutions, provides 20 to 60 cm³/m³ when injected at a rate of 1 Lt /m³ of irrigated water.

It is important to remember that Orchard / Vegetables Microgat does not contain iron so that a separate source of iron must used. However, it has twice the concentration of manganese and zinc of Micro-Gat.

Whenever crops growing on heavy soils show micro- nutrient deficiencies, the recommended dosage is 5 – 10 Lt / ha once every 2 to 3 weeks, as required.

Packaging
Orchard / Vegetables Microgat is supplied in 10 Lt cans, in jumbo containers up to 1,000 litres; in bulk or added to a liquid fertilizer.

Important !!
Never mix Orchard / Vegetables Microgat with any fertilizer solution having a pH below 3.5
